I bought and paid for a phone. Seller cancelled transaction with no reason given and relisted it.

I bought and paid for a phone yesterday (BIN) The seller cancelled the sale 3 hours later with no reason given and relisted it immediately at same price. I sent him a question asking why and he has not responded. How or why could this happen? Not happy.

It looks like the relisted item has also ended.

ebay may have cancelled the listings due to policy violations. (May be a false account)

Hope you paid by PayPal. Did you get a refund? If not, open INR case in resolve a problem as soon as you can for a refund.

Yes I paid Paypal and they are refunding. How were you able to see that it has been unlisted again?. What could this guy gain from this sort of behaviour? He has no feedback and I was unable to leave feedback to warn others for some reason.

I looked at your bidding history through advanced search and then looked at the relisted item.

It may have been a non existent item and the seller was hoping for someone to direct deposit into their bank account.

If you can't leave feedback then the listing has been pulled by ebay.

You're welcome.  Yes could have been stolen or just fraudulent listings.

ebay may have had other reports from same IP address and came up as red flags.

The relisted item wasn't removed or cancelled, it was sold to another buyer on 26/06/2014 02:13:08

Under the tab eBay Buyer Tools, enter the seller's ID in the Seller History field.

Ah, thanks BBS. It saw it ended but didn't know the reason.

Now seeing as feedback can't be left, I dare say ebay removed the first listing perhaps also the second after being sold.

Both item numbers still come up in search results so I don't think eBay has removed them.
