just be absolutely sure that the Seller is willing to prepare the couch for a courier pick up (cover to prevent soiling comes tomind), and also that the Seller is willing to wait around for a courier to collect

many sellers will want to arrange a pick up out of hours (weekend or evenings, ) and at a specific time, say between 1 and 2pm

most couriers will only pickup during business weekdays hours and give a time such as '' sometime between 7am and 3pm on Wed."

which is why many Sellers will not deal with couriers. so check with the Seller before bidding

I recently sold an item to a buyer in Qld (I'm in NSW) and they organised a removalist doing a run from Vic to Qld to collect the item from me.

I din't have to do any packaging or wrapping, the removalist handled all that.

I knew they would be collecting within a 2 hour range on a Sudnay afternoon and it suited me to be home (luckily for both they buyer and me) and I received a phone call to let me know they would arrive at my place within 30 minutes.

It worked out perfectly.

The buyer rang their local furniture removalists to see if they were coming back to Qld from anywhere near wehre I lived and they found one doing return run from Vic.

It sure has takien a lot of typing to get to the point. LOL

Phone your local removalists after you check with the seller they are happy for this to happen.
