Hi everyone, I hope you all having a nice day.
I wonder if someone could explain and show me how too not please multiple bids. I made a huge mistake, when I placed 3 bids on one item, because it was confusing to me, when it said place maximum bid.
In the end the kind Seller let me off paying for the item. But this should never happen again. I just hope you all do not think I am dense lol. just want to learn and make a responsible bid
Happy hunting

If you put in your maximum bid it will automatically bid for you when someone outbids you.
So if the item starts at $10 and you enter $20 as your maximum bid your bid will increase until you are the winning bidder or someone outbids your $20. So it might stop at $15.25 to make you the winning bidder.
You should only ever make your maximum bid the highest you are willing to pay for an item.
however, you might be the highest bidder today but if the item doesn't finish until another 3 days you may still be outbid.
does this make sense?
maybe you could tell us what actually happened in your case?

Was it the lighter that you won at US$200?
As far as I can see you should have won it at $180 or was there a reserve that had not been met at that amount.

It was the only item the OP has won with multiple bids. All her other items were BIN or won with 1 bid.

When I click on the user ID it all comes up private.
am I missing something?
I always wonder how the regulars of the boards seem to be able to see just about everything?

To the right of the regular item search box, click on Advanced Search. From there, to the left, click on Item > By Bidder. Just type in the bidders username and it should show things they've bid on recently.
