I've reported rudeness and bad service from a seller

I bought 4 x pairs of baby socks (each was one auction) and the postage from VIC to NSW was going to be $10 per pair.  They 'discounted' it from $40 to $30.  I asked a few questions and was given the okay to send my own pre-paid, pre-addressed 3kg bag (which cost me $11.70). Now they are refusing to put the bag in the post & want me to arrange collection.  I"m in Sydney and they are in Melbourne.

I copied the part of the correspondence to ebay customer complaint.

(quote) Please organise some else to pick up this item and post it to you. I am sure you have experience with ebay and you know some people make extra money on postage just like i do. I will accept the plastic satchel but I am sorry I will not waste my time walking / drive to post the item this for nothing. Let me know when you have find the person to help you to post the item Thanks (end quote from seller)

Has anyone got a response from customer support about unfair behaivour/  bad service/ postage pirates?

note: I looked up their house on google maps and there is a post office less than 1km from their home.  Love google maps.

Are you leaving the FB a week apart to make them count 😉

Have to admit though, the socks are lovely, mind you it is most likely the little model that made them look so good

fb only counts multi times if the PURCHASES were a week apart, not the leaving of the fb, sadly

Re: I've reported rudeness and bad service from a seller

I have to say this thread worries me a bit. I complain like the best of them esp about feedback for buyers, but leaving a seller feedback to say check ebay forums I don't think is right. Both seller and buyer were in the wrong here. Seller shill bidding? a bit rude and buyer should have checked postage info first and also a bit rude. But at the end of the day feedback should give details about the purchase not be a way to get back at someone.

Belinda, to a certain extent I agree with you but if the seller is clued up she will know that the feedback can be removed by ebay as it does not have any bearing on the transaction.

The buyer has actually done the seller a favour.

Belinda, I agree with you (OMG did I just write that?)

I agree that is is poor form to mention the forums in the feedback.

I agree that both sides of this transaction could have behaved differently/better.

I agree that the feedback should be about the purchase and not a way to get back at someome.

My question to you, belinda, is Should this seller have left feedback for this buyer as soon as the buyer paid for the item?  I will look forward to your response, after all, once the buyer paid they have done their bit and the seller should have left feedback!

I'm not comfortable with the way this thread is going either.  The OP demanded their own terms, terms that were not in the description.  They have now successfully had their demands fully met and yet now they are deliberately one week at a time, going to destroy the seller's feedback reputation.  This whole situation just seems very wrong to me.

Re: I've reported rudeness and bad service from a seller

The only consolation is if all of the items were won during the same week only one neg can affect the seller's feedback percentage. It is appalling that the buyer delights in leaving negs if the seller clearly states she doesn't discount postage and it's disturbing to see some members encouraging her to do so. I don't like postage pirates either but but if you aren't happy about the cost don't deal with the seller.

Re: I've reported rudeness and bad service from a seller

Oh, gosh, think there's a misunderstanding about the feedback.  I'm not delighting in anything.  The purchase has been very stressful when it should have been simple. I didn't want to pay $30 for postage (saving me $18) and I took the seller's option of sending my own bag.  They then refused to post it.

I only left feedback on one item.  I'm not planning on leaving any more feedback.

I referred to the forum on feedback as both myself (the buyer) and the seller have both had an opportunity to state our case.
