How long has it been since you tried contacting the buyer ? What is the item number?

What do you mean by dummy bids?

How can you tell if they are dummy bids? I would really like to know. Please answer as I think I may have been a victim to this too.

to retract a bid - click on CUSTOMER SUPPORT - top left corner of the page.
Left hand side you will see under SELF SERVICE TOOLS - Retract a bid will give you some info.
There are rules that apply.
OR type in I want to retract a bid I placed.
It will give you information & then a link to the form/page to remove the bid.

To check for dummy bids,(shill bidding) just click on the number of bids and then on the bidders in turn.
If any of those bidders show up as having lots of bids with that seller and a high percentage of their bids are
also for that seller it's a good chance that they are shill bidding.
This example is similar to what you would be looking for,(this is an extreme case as most will show less items
bid on and less total bids).
The high percentage is generally similar for a shill bidder.
