Could you maybe allow buyers to choose what state they would like the items in , as an option before looking into the sellers items.

You can refine your searches by distance. I don't think you can do so by state, but if you're looking at distance for pickup then state is not necessarily the way to go.

It couldn't be too hard to do it though - little brother gumnut has that facility, still if eBay tinkered with thier site to provide something members might actually like...............
