How come after i won an item and went to pay for it,there was an extra $4.88 for "Import Charges" on top of the shipping charge of $15.41,for an item that was $110.00
We dont pay duty for items under $1000.
Is this another money grab?
And if so why was it not mentioned in the listing??
and why does the buyer pay and not the seller?
This is so wrong!!

@ja_furb wrote:errrr yeah but its under a thousand dollars so there are no IMPORT charges in australia....you are not answering the question.
there is no threshold in Australia anymore for GST, and if you buy from the USA via the GSP/Pitney Bowes they will charge an import fee for processing the collection of GST and preparation of documents required to ship to Australia.
