Impossible Sale Items

Has anyone else noticed sellers advertising a reasonable price for an item, but when you go to buy NONE of the available sizes/colours/etc are available at the advertised price?

There is NO WAY to buy any variation of the product at the advertised price.

That's plain fraud.

Also, another fraud.

An item - such as a cassette deck - is advertised at a low price. You go to buy and find that the "low price" is actually for a bottle of cassette deck head cleaner fluid at a fraction of the advertised item's price. The real item you were shopping for is FAR more expensive.

Why is the cheap bait-and-switch item listed in the same ad with the genuine products?

Impossible Sale Items

It's a function in eBay designed to be used for having an accessory or as you say variations of the same.

But unfortunately there are many sellers abusing the system especially Asian sellers to gain a higher place in searches.

Many of those sellers have total disregard for rules or ethics.

Those sellers have the same ethics as eBay and they don't care how searches are now stuffed up because of

it,(the bait item isn't even listed in the listing title 99 % of the time).

If I see a low and a high price I know the item listing title is for the high price and I now go straight past them.

It's about time that eBay introduced a report function to report those and the bait and switch items but as they are

mostly by Chinese and other overseas sellers they don't care.

Some only have the select as the low price or as stated the "good" item is greyed out as out of stock, stubborn_smiley_by_mirz123-d4bt0te_zps12f1a5a3.gif
