I have been buying from an ebay store.Even though the store has delivered good quality products and their service is very good,the only complaint I have its their inappropriate feedback. I pay with paypal on each transaction. This is what their feedback says each time:
"Thank you for your order."
Thats all they put.Every time I've bought from them thats all they've said. I did contact them twice to bring it to their attention.No change in their feedback. I started giving them similar feedback:
"Thank you for my order".
What should I do?

They sell over 20,000 a month! How much time do you want them to use
leaving flowery grateful messages for your custom.
Look at their fb left for others. I
It's automatic and it says the same for everybody

What makes you think that your order is so special that the seller should leave any different feedback to what they leave for all their customers?
If you are so unhappy with the feedback you can always buy from another seller....no-one is forcing you to continue buying from that seller.

austmagz, I would look at it this way.
Sellers have two choices. They can leave positive feedback or they can leave none at all.
They can't leave negative.
So the fact the seller left you positive feedback is a plus. It is increasing your score each time so that's the main thing.
It's heaps better & more professional than a seller who leaves nothing.
I suppose they could jazz it up with those whatever they are called, fancy thingummies and squiggles that some sellers seem to have saved. I don't know how they are done & maybe your seller doesn't either so he settled for a plain sentence of thanks.
I wouldn't worry about it. It isn't inappropriate at all, it is just bland and the main thing is that you are happy with the goods & service.
Much better that than brilliant feedback with a less than inspiring item or service.

Are you buying things off eBay because you want the item, or are you buying things off eBay to have your ego inflated with a string of pretty green dots with unicorn and rainbow messages?

i feel your pain, way too often i recieve dull unimaginitive feedback
how long would it take to give a comment with real meaning?
like 'dear buyer you have brought a rainbow into my store with you kind puchase. may your days be filled with miracles and your sleep be filled with dreams of happiness everlasting. if only every customer was as sweet and lovely as you. i will now be able to put food on the table for little jimmy and my wife once again. maybe even a juicy bone for lucky our one legged dog'

Let's see. As a seller, I do the following on eBay.
1) Source the items.
2) List and photo the items.
3) Keep track and inventory of the items.
4) Write up my eBay orders as they arrive in an order book to keep track of them because of their volume and in case my computer dies.
5) Reply to the Paypal emails, thanking the buyer for their payment and informing them their item will be posted today/tomorrow.
6) Get out the items ready for posting and check they are correct.
7) Pack and send the items.
๐ Add tracking information/mark the item as posted
9) Leave feedback.
10) Respond to any emails or communication from buyers in a timely manner
As OP have said most volume sellers just have one automatic comment.
Mine is "Thanks for your prompt settlement, the item has been posted today"
This comment thanks people for the business and lets them know (again) that their item is on the way.
Sheesh, that is by far enough work, without leaving individual flowery comments for everyone who buys something.
Just don't have the time or inclination to leave individual comments and I think it would be the same for most volume sellers.
