Incremental bidding on reserve item

I recently won the bidding a motorcycle.  However on checking the bidding history I find that the next highest bidder stopped at $2000.

My bid stopped at $3300 a jump of $1300.  I suspect that the seller's reserve was in fact $3300 and the eBay system jumped me to the reserve price. I will try to confirm this when I pick up the bike later this week.

Any opinions please.

Yes, thats it exactly.

From the help pages "If your maximum bid is the first to meet or exceed the reserve price, the effective bid displayed will automatically be raised to the reserve price."

If your bid had not reached the Reserve price you would not have won the item.
