Hello E1,
PayPal have asked me to return my INAD and I am wondering if using a C & S Pre Paid satchel will be ok, It is only $6.95 ( much more than paying over the counter at AP ( Sorry local post office owner guy ).
I am going to be out of pocket some money so it might as well be as least as possible.
PP`s instructions are as follows...
I do recall reading somewhere by someone here recently that C&S is not the best way to go.
PayPal requires you to use an approved shipping or delivery service that
provides online proof of shipment or delivery. Acceptable forms of proof of
shipment or delivery include:
- A copy of the postage receipt that includes the seller's delivery
address. You can get this from Australia Post's Registered Post and
Australia Post's Registered Post International, or
- A shipping code that PayPal can use online to view the shipping status
and the seller's delivery address. You can get this from TNT, DHL, FedEx
and other carriers, or
- A receipt issued by the carrier that is signed by the recipient
acknowledging delivery.
This documentation you provide must also include:
- The date the item was sent.
- An official acceptance by the carrier, such as a postmark or online
status. A status that shows the item was delivered is also acceptable.

There is no longer any registered post for parcels, you need to have signature required to get the same cover reg used to provide.
I don't as a rule pay extra for signature required or add extra cover unless the item is worth more than about forty bucks, I know I may have Paypal protection with just the c&s but if AP lose the parcel and it is not delivered I want AP to have to cover the cost, not Paypal.

Click & send is fine but if you want to be completely sure you should add signature on delivery, especially if it is an expensive item as that means you are covered up to $100 if it goes missing.

A copy of the C&S shipping label together with the PO lodgement receipt meets PayPal's requirements for proof of shipment.
Just a note: C&S satchels are not prepaid, payment is made online by creditcard or PayPal prior to printing and the $6.95 cost is exactly the same as sending any 500g parcel Australia wide.

Thanks for the prompt reply.
I was worried because i recall someone recently afvising me not to use C&S and to also purchase signature confirmation.
Thanks again for your help and also for the info on the charges. Very handy to know.
I guess the 500g parcels i have prepared in the past havent met the size requirements of AP maybe.
Thank you too PJ.
I initially thought the insurance option only covered " New " items however i realise that it was the $100 coverage that comes with registered post option that AP offers, am I right?
