Is it legal for Global Shipping Program to charge $50 extra to actual cost of $23

US $23.50

is it reasonable that the global shipping joke charges $75 to ship the same item?

Oh great....a first time poster taking issue with information that was correct when it was posted NEARLY SIX YEARS AGO.

I cannot argue whether it is still correct as I have not used the GSP recently but it was when I posted.

As mentioned....please give the item number so you can be given CURRENT information that may be of assistance.

And please check the dates on threads before jumping in and disputing what members have said.

I don’t even know which of your 7 posts they have taken issue with as their post shows as being in reply to the OP.

Must have been one that showed how to see the charges before committing.  I might have time to spare, but I can’t be bothered going back and reading all the posts on page 1 (50 per page view) to work out which one they think they replied to.

I’d rather they give us more information specific to their transaction rather than look at advice that WAS correct at time of posting rather than FEBRUARY 2020.

I think it was post #6.....it makes the most sense.

Looking at the members who have posted on this thread I am guessing that if any information was wrong it would have been corrected very quickly.

I'm not sure what an off-eBay purchase has to do with the way it works through eBay. Perhaps you'll enlighten us. On eBay, which this board is part of, you get told the price before you commit to pay. I believe. I wouldn't use the GSP unless it suited me, and it doesn't.

Good pickup Dave although I suspect it is a point of grammer and should have been "purchased from ebay" which we all know is still wrong and should be purchased from an ebay seller.Smiley Wink

the global scamming is at it once more i paid all their exorbitant shipping feesExample rthey charged me 148.47us to send something from there when other places for the same parcel charged me  42.05 and it was quicker than the scammers anyway and i have just found ou the charged me again more so i do not know what is going on there They seem content to maybe close Ebay to everyone as the buyer has no way of contacting even ebay as they will not answer even messges sent on their facebook account

If you weren't happy with the price, why did you pay it?

How ridiculous of what was happening when i ordered my car part here, i authorised 1 payment $45.29 and end up paying another $39.07 without my authorisation. This was way unacceptable given that the paypal had to do so without my consent...this was bloody hilarious and demeaning our trust

Incorrect. You authorised the $39.07 when you committed to the purchase, so Paypal was within it's rights to take the money from you.

How ridiculous is it that you didn't read the clearly displayed shipping charges, before purchase?

When you use the GSP to purchase from a seller in the UK or USA, two payments are made through Paypal, one payment to the seller for the item and postage to the GSP shipping hub, and the second to Pitney Bowes for the GSP charges.

What is the item number (on the RHS of the listing page) ?

Edit. G'day Dave.

IT's not uncommon to hear of accounts such as yours. People still get caught like this. Not knowing the details of your case, I can't add much more here. But you have a right to be upset about it and it's very understandable. All I can say is that it's not clear enough for folks to see as this keeps happening.

Just reading the little you've posted here indicates that you're an intelligent person as others before you have been with this situation. And this proves that what you're expecting to pay what you actually end up paying are vastly different amounts. So this needs to be shown more clearly.
