Is there any possibility of finding a transaction from two and a half years ago to find out the sell

I bought a washing machine two and a half years ago on ebay. Now I need a service and don't have a receipt and don't know who I bought it from. I've found my bank transaction from 26 June 2012 but can't find out who the seller is.

Would ebay, somewhere, have a record of the seller?

If either you or the seller left feedback for the transaction you may be able to find it there since archives for purchases only go back to 2013.

I'm not sure why you should need a receipt for a service though, any washing machine service company would do it without a receipt.

I wouldn't think so. I think maybe your best shot now is to ring the maker of the Washing Machine and go down that road.

Just contact the service contractor for the Brand of machine you have.

No matter the seller, it is the manufacturer (brand) that you need to find a serviceman for.

Just google the make of the machine, check recommended service techs, and click on a contractor closest to where you live.
