I have noticed this since last year. I noticed my other pc doesnt have this problem , and the problem only appears when you start to tinker with the options button. Some sort of bug in Ebay codes It think. I have been contacting Ebay for months to see if I missed any options. However they only answered my queries indirectly by suggesting using the locations distance option which is a main function for another purpose. Previously, on the search page , I could see the town/suburb,state/country (eg. Melbourne,Victoria or Shenzen,China) very disssapointing and very unnecessary.
EBAY, Please bring this function BACK!!!!

EBAY.....
AT THE VERY LEAST:
ITEMS THAT ARE PICKUP ONLY SHOULD HAVE THE LOCATION SHOWN- ALWAYS.
its not rocket science.

ITEM LOCATION is missing for me too!!......not the refine distance function. Search function is totally useless without the option to display the item location(ie: country) on the search page. I won't be using eBay until this is fixed.

Just noticed the change today that you mentioned. Big mistake Ebay, I buy all sorts of items Some small, so location not all that important (Except I do prefer to buy local) & some large-heavy furniture & equipment. And I do a lot of searching to get the right item at the right price, in the right location, so having to open an item to check it's location is going P*** me off big time!
Bad move Ebay, put back items location on listings page, that is if you wish to keep your customers satisfied!

May I suggest that everyone who dislikes the new format, emails ebay about it?
As far as I am aware, ebay doesn't read the boards, so will be oblivious that so many of us find the new format hard to use. My biggest gripe is the missing location details and the fact that the search location distance is now about three more clicks away than it used to be.
I have emailed ebay regarding that. Perhaps if they get enough complaints, we may find the location info. reinstated. One can wish, anyway.

This is absolutely true. We buy a lot of pick up items and we need to know where they are, instead you have to click on each listing to see the location.

That's a little harsh, isn't it? Every country aside from Australia has its country displayed, so by nature of elimination that means that any listing which doesn't have a country displayed is generally going to be from Australia. Are you able to see international countries location on the search page?
For everyone who is doing pickup, yeah not seeing the location directly may be difficult but there is the option of distance. Just pick how far you're willing to travel and type in the numbers. To access this feature, you may need to click on "More Refinements..." and then on "Item Location."

It seems to me that ebay has people on the payroll who are not needed, they make all these stupid changes to justify their employment.A simple thing like item location being dropped.Go figure

I was not completely right here. When clicking on (search) Worldwide, the international countries are displayed as "From United States" etc. When just doing the regular search ("on eBay Australia") for the times when it shows (for example) "10 items found from eBay international sellers" the international countries aren't actually listed. You have to then click on the Worldwide search for the countries to show up. That's what's happening on my page, anyway.
