Is is possible to change the default search location to Australia Only? I am sick of having to change it everyday and I don't want to have to set up saved searches for every single thing that I might possibly want to search for.

On the left of your search page - Item Location.
But you have to change it every time you do a search, I think. Or at least when you reopen your browser. Not sure on that as I don't normally close mine.

Hi, On your my ebay page there should be a ''tell us what you think'' link just below the blue search button.
It would be good especially now that most US listings have over inflated postage costs that I'm sure not many buyers would be purchasing from.

If you do a search, say for items you always check out, save that search, and then you can refine that search to Australia only....then when you want to look for those items again you go to your saved searches and click on that search item and it will come up as Australia only....i think you can add a note to that saved search too...like AU only....you can zero down your saved searches to something like 50km of your postcode..
But if you just put your search in the search bar it defaults to worldwide i think.....you'd think there was an easier way....i might have to check out some ideas.....

10 years? That is a bit of an exaggeration.
This thread is less than 5 years old.

Still old enough to not be dragged out of kindergarten to find it has been bumped without any value being added.

I go on and off eBay. Been selling a bit lately, but actually searching for anything is just about over for me. eBay used to be a great place to find a bargain. Now it’s just full of junk. Every search brings up pages and pages from China and it’s rubbish. Why has Australia only never worked? Surely Australia can have its own search by default now. It doesn’t last and doesn’t work if you click Aust only. You still get inundated with Chinese junk. Even some (a lot) of Chinese sellers say located in Australia, then you get caught out because it changes to China by default as soon as you purchase. eBay should have this sorted. Recently had a couple of refunds because item doesn’t turn up. eBay know who these shoddy sellers are, yet they never seem to get rid of them. I’m definitely not buying from anymore Chinese sellers. Please...EBay can you have a genuine Australia only site? If we want international sellers we will search for them. At least eBay will refund, but point is internal sellers should be left out unless stated.

australia only search , does work on phone app without resetting every time , but yes i just bought a new microsft touchpro 6 and when i use ebay . every single time i search it defaults to amercian search. i have to go to " advanced settings " for search and change to australia only then it works correctly , as long i dont cancel the window . if i cancel down the window and go back into ebay on touch pro 6 , then the search resets back to america
my phone app is different
so annoying grrr lol
