I have just received an item I ordered... It was supposed to be a brand new box of GreenTeaX50 sachets x 30.. well that's how I interpreted the listing.
What I received was the 30 sachets, loose without the box. This wouldn't normally bother me, but I bought it for a secret santa gift for one of my health freak work colleagues & I expected a sealed box. I'm in debate whether to send it back - would it qualify as a SNAD item?
This is the item no 291967633612
Cheers 🙂

in a box!
You're getting ripped off! I paid $4.20 for 200 Tetley all rounders today. Tetley is my favourite.

The title says "Starter pack'.
In the body of the ad it lists the contents of the starter pack.
It actually says 'package contents' and from there lists the 3 types of sachets you will get.
The word package therefore does not mean sachets.
So as far as I am concerned, they should be in a package, I would have expected some type of cardboard box.
Have a look at the photo in your ad. It is a photo of the box it is meant to come in. Maybe not as clear as in some other ads, but a box all the same.
Have a look at this ad:
I would put in a not as described claim immediately.
100% agree with Springy.
I think the goods are significantly not as described. The photo of the outer box is a part of the listing, and it is a reasonable expectation that you would receive the goods as boxed as intended by the manufacturers and as one would normally purchase this, and similar products.
It is easily confirmed that this product retails as " Green Tea x50 Green Tea Starter Pack 30 pack" and is boxed.

Just wanted to add after reviewing the sellers previous feedback that if the packing on the individual teas are not stamped with a use by or best by date this is also a concern - as you have no way of knowing these dates without the original box.
This is not acceptable by any standards that I am aware of when retailing consumable goods.

That's a very valid point. It would be interesting to know if there is any mention on the box about "not for individual sale". Some people don't realise that if you buy something with that on the box, there is a reason for it. Yes, you can often buy the item individually, e.g a chocolate bar, but if it comes in a bulk pack and has that on the box, it means there isn't a best before date on each individual wrapper, only on the box. Therefore, the pack can't be opened and the contents sold separately.

Therefore, the pack shouldn't, by law, be opened and the contents sold separately.
(fixed it)

To me, the buyer has nothing to lose by at least trying for a not as described refund, and i think, if they present their case clearly, they should have a very good chance.
If nothing else, it could serve to make the seller take a little more care with listings.

Personally, I don't think the listing shows a box.
It's just a flat pic to me. It doesn't show sides of a box
on 21-12-2016 06:07 PM
It's a flat photo to me too, but the wording is definitely from the box. It is a photo of the front side of a box, even though it isn't a distance shot to show you the shape.
That's why I put a link up to another ad that showed the exact same front on a box.
If the items do not come in a box, then why show that photo/ Why not a photo of the sachets themselves?
