Item STILL not received!

I won and paid for an item via bank deposit and 1 month later it still hadn't shown. I opened an item not received case, eventually closed it and reported the seller to Trust & Safety. The seller has then tried to tell me they didn;t have the details, they were overseas and various other excuses but still no item! The seller contacted me outside of eBay a couple of times so I complained about that and now the seller has opened an unpaid item case against me! I have my deposit slip as proof and yet the seller will not respond to my messages! Ebay won't remove the unpaid item case until the seller does something about it. How is any of this fair? I've never had a bad experience on eBay and I'm so disappointed by this transaction. I see from others' feedback that recently this seller has done the same thing to others. What can we do about this?

Item STILL not received!

--only ONE thing to do really, always pay with PayPal to avoid such problems in the future

as for your current situation, nothing much you can do except report the seller to the On Line Fraud Squad for taking money by deception. .. there is absolutely NO ebay protection for sales if the buyer chooses an unsafe payment option.

Have you compared the deposit slip's bank account number against that supplied by the seller, to make sure that the money did actually go into the correct account?

If you used a hyphen in the BSB number, the deposit will almost certainly have gone into either the wrong account, or is floating around in cyberspace and will eventually be returned to your bank account in about 30 days.

Of course, you're probably right and the seller is a crook. ๐Ÿ˜‰

The timeline doesn't add up, if you paid then didn't hear anything for a month and then had the seller making excuses etc then too long would have gone by for the seller to open an unpaid item dispute.

Bottom line is as ebay tell you there is no buyer protection if you don't use Paypal.

If you are awarded an unpaid item strike then you can appeal it.
