Item location confusion

Some items im looking at state "item located in victoria"  .

Click seller and they are based and registered in china .

I also see they use Au post for delivery and takes (to my location) around 3 to 6 days for delivery.

Is it safe to say the items are in Australia and will be posted from here ?....Confusing..

generally if the post says aust post, the items are in australia. They could be dropshipping. If it turns out you don't get you item in that time report them for misrepresentation of location, they are not allowed to do that.

I see this reasonably often also. I think some are in Australia, but I'm not willing to take that chance. If I see a seller who is supposedly in this country, but registered in China/Hong Kong etc, I back out of the listing & go looking for one who is registered here.
