Item location vs. Postal delivery organisation - what could it mean?

Well, here is a new one on me! Oh sages, please help me!

Recently, I purchased 100+ things from one seller on the same day, all from separate auctions.

All the items were said to be located in India.

I received my package today (items combined) within the estimated delivery date (shocking 😮 !!). At first I didn't know it was this package because it was a 3kg Australia Post satchel, no return address.

Inside was another satchel with my name and address. The satchel appeared to be new from an Indian online selling platform.

What could it mean? I am wondering if a bulk lot of sales was shipped to Australia by this seller to a distribution place and each buyer had their items forwarded, rather than the seller sending individually? Kind of like a mini-GSP, except that this one actually works.

Do you think this should be reflected in feedback/stars? I don't think so, I just want to make sure I have the right of it before I leave feedback!

Thanks!

Who cares how it was delivered. It arrived intact within a reasonable time and that is all you should be basing your feedback and DSRs on.

That was rude. I care, which is why I asked.

Thank you for advice.

Whether you think PJ was rude is not the point....she is right.

You bought from a seller who listed the items as being in India for delivery to you in Australia within a specified time.

You have received those items, within that specified time and the package has clearly originated in India.  What does it matter which company was contracted to make the final delivery?

Going by your theory, any seller in the USA or UK who uses the GSP is suspect.  The items clearly originate in the USA or UK but they can be finally delivered by Australia Post once they reach Australia.  It does not mean they originated in Australia.

This happens a lot with overseas sellers I deal with. Rather than pay the often hefty postage prices for international shipping with tracking, they opt for cheaper methods from there to here, and tracked postage for the Australian leg of the journey.
