They must be investigating me as well. I can't understand why anyone would think I'd damage a record and try to return it to obtain a refund. I wouldn't have bid if I didn't want it. At least I know I'm telling the truth even if they don't believe it.

Once you open a case it doesn't matter how long it takes to resolve.
And I agree with you in why would you buy something just to return it?
You just need to hang in there as ebay are dealing with an expensive item so they need time to evaluate the case.

Thanks, I think I'll do just that. It can't stay open forever.

Have Ebay asked you to return the record? Their MBG policy says: Signature confirmation is required for returns of items with a total cost of $750 or more.
I dont see why they would be investigating you.... i couldnt see anywhere that you have made a habit of seeking refunds or bid retractions or such..... but perhaps they are investigating your seller. ???
Eitherway, 30days is long enough, despite their extended timelines for ebay MBG.
Get onto them again.... $550 is a lot of money in anyones books (or record as the case may be )
If you are not happy with the ebay rep you are speaking with, demand to speak to their supervisor. And so on. Dont let sleeping dogs lie....... get onto it...hassle hassle hassle.
Good luck to you. xx
