Item not received.Ordered 14th July. I have been requesting refund for months.

I ordered something from a Chinese seller on 14/7/18. It never arrived, so  months ago I contacted the sellerand all I get is a reply saying they have refunded me and giving me a reference number. I have been corresponding with them for ages.This means nothing to me, no refund has ever appeared in my paypal a/c. I sort of gave up, but decided to try to get it sorted. It is not a huge amount, but as a seller myself I am reluctant to leave negative feedbank. So I thought I would open a case which I have occasionally done in the past, but cannot even proceed with this as I have tried the following.

1. Find the item in your Purchase History.
2. Select See request details (if your item didn't arrive) or See return details (if you're trying to return an item).
3. Select Ask eBay to step in.

When I found the item there is no option to "see request details"

I must be missing something here or perhaps I have left it too long?

I would be very grateful if someone could help me please.

You have probably left it too long as eBay only give 30 days from the last estimated delivery date to open a case.

Log into PayPal now and open a case for Item Not Received in their resolution centre.

You only have 30 days after the last ETA of the item to open an MBG dispute, so it sounds like you're past that timeframe. Paypal disputes can be opened up to 180 days after the purchase date.

Regarding the claimed refund, have you checked you bank A/C as I think that is where the refund goes.

You only have 60 days after the purchase date to leave feedback so the seller has made you wait past that time limit - a very common tactic by Chinese sellers...........................

Thanks so much for your help. At least I know the correct procedure now, even though I have given up. I did as you stated and I had actually ordered two separate orders on the same day, one of which was delivered, the other I paid $5.45 and it shows as $3.77.Then I  went to the resolution centre and it said I already had a case open, which I haven't, so I tried again and it said I hadn't paid. It really is not worth the effort.

But at least I know know the timescales for the future.

Hello there, I checked my bank again and no go there, I give up. Going to have a glass of wine and forget the whole thing. Thanks for trying to help, you are all so wonderful 🙂
