Item not received

I recently purchased 2 Huawei ear phones on eBay at the end of July. The expected date of delivery stated on the receipt was 4-7 August 2015. It's nearing the end of August now and I still haven't received my earphones.

Re: Item not received

Tracking is not a cheap service....I believe it is something like $3 to add tracking to an Australia Post parcel and that is not a guarantee that it will be delivered.

You have bought from China and Hong Kong.  A lot of their cheap items are also Free postage so I am sure they are not going to pay extra to track the items.   The usual thing is to open a dispute if your items do not arrive in 4-6 weeks.  Get the refund and if you really must have the item try again with another seller.

If a seller offers a refund there is very little point in insisting on them resending the items....they probably never sent it in the first place.

What are you going to do if your second item does not arrive....it will be too late to open a dispute and the seller knows it....you are unlikely to be offered another refund.

You cannot change your feedback unless the seller sends you a Feedback Revision Request....and they only have a limited number of those available.   I would suggest that the seller is more likely to block you from buying from him again.

So far you have left 2 negative feedback from a total of 19.....you may well find yourself on the blocked bidders lists of a few of the sellers who read the boards.

You are not so new to ebay that you don't know how to vet your sellers.   You can check their feedback, and see where they are registered.

If you can't work out from that whether the seller is likely to be trustworthy then maybe ebay is not for you.

Thanks Lyndall for info. I now understand a bit more in what the seller was asking. She did ask me to change the negative to positive.Which i haven't done yet. I gave 1 negative not 2.  Also I bought the item again from same seller. She said I can buy whatever item in store. So that means why she said if this next item doesn't turn up can she do refund again to close the case. This is the normal procedure is it? I was going to wait until i got the item due next week before writing and changing things with the seller.Doesn't the post office do anything for the seller or buyer if parcels donot turn up?

ps. How could you tell if item came from china and hong kong with my message?

Thanks again, bye.

You cannot change the feedback until the seller sends a formal Request....just asking in an email does not allow you to do it.

You gave this seller one negative but you gave another negative to a seller some months ago where it also was a case of you not understanding the listing.

It is not usual for a seller to send another item as a replacement and then refund if that does not turn up...they are probably stringing you along until it is too late for you to open a dispute.

The post office can only do something if there is an enquiry opened into a missing parcel and there is tracking available.

It is ebay and paypal that covers your backside in the event of a missing parcel.

As for how I knew where your item was coming from.....I looked at your profile and clicked on Feedback left for others.....and there were the 2 negatives you have left.  Click on the seller's ID and it takes you to their profile page and tells you where the seller is registered.

There are other ways for us to see your buying history also.....there is not much hidden here.
