Here's another reason:
I once sent a small parcel to a friend interstate.
On one side of the parcel it said TO: - my friend's name and address.
On the other side (in smaller letters) it said FROM: my details.
Australia Post sent the parcel to me. I'm not kidding.
I can only assume it was one of those automatic sorter errors.

As long as your address is on it, it should reach you okay, tracking or no tracking.
Don't know why it didn't the first time, maybe your address details were damaged & unreadable so it was returned to sender.
But the article was not lost, was it!
It did get back to the seller.
And it will most likely get through to you with no problems within the next few days.

I had this happen to me also. Apparently some people do not understand "TO" and "FROM"

Yes, at one stage it was happening regularly with my sale items. I spoke to the person in the local post office. By pointing to myself and 'from' on the package I got the concept of 'From' across the language divide. It hasn't happened since.

It probably hasn't happened to Michelle since 2019, either, or she would have updated us.
