Just want to vent....

..... I won an item in Victoria on Saturday 2nd March. (I am NSW)
Seller emailed me to request payment on Monday 4th March. (at that stage, i hadnt realised i had won it as I hadnt been on the internet over the weekend, and i had placed one bid on this item a few days before)
a tad suprised by the seller demands, but obliged and paid immediately via paypal on 4th March.

On Sunday, the 10th March, I noticed the item in my *purchased* history is still unmarked as posted... so i emailed seller and asked if they could tell me when they posted it as it wasnt marked as such. (i know that not everybody marks items as posted thropugh the ebay system, so I just wanted to double check)

She replies on the same day with appologies that she had her parents staying over, and she FORGOT to post my item!... then she says that Monday (yesterday) is a P/H, so she will post Tuesday (today).

Im like....   WTF!

Im really annoyed.
Im REALLY REALLY annoyed!
I opened an item not received case today. I know it will be posted, and i hope it will eventually arrive... but to simply *forget* to post, after 6 days of having my money, then im sorry, but case open it is!

(delivery handeling time-within 3 days of cleared payment)

Sorry.... just had to rant.

cheers...

ACTUALLY posted or just 'marked' shipped?

I have had people mark shipped so soon after me paying I gotta wonder lol

I use C&S and when address labels are processed it gets automatically marked as shipped in ebay lol.

Of course you actually need to pack item first, and I try to do it same day for most sales.

How can I can't take anything you post seriously - you are a protector of non-payers and thats FU.

Well it seems that you cant take many of the posters here seriously as they seem to share my sentiment.

Why a seller would want to continue to want to protect non-payers is beyond me.

Wanting non-payers to report sellers leaving honest feedback is pretty FU.

I cannot see ANY post here condoning non payers, please dont put words in the mouths of people who didnt say them!

You are breaching policy pure and simple.  Rules apply to everyone- including YOU

Do not assume anything about me thanks, I DO NOT condone or cover up anything.

I care enough to help people with issues on ebay to do the right thing, and someone who is a TRS and shoudl know better, going on a public forum bragging about how they breech policy doesnt help anyone learn anything.

I dont have a lot of time for hypocrites, so I will refrain form replying further thanks.  I am sure anyone readin can see whats happening here for themselves.

Wish we had a blocked seller list too ๐Ÿ˜ž

Would a seller really cancel the bid of someone who has feedback from a seller which states that they didn't pay? IMO, strikes are more effective. As is said many times here, follow the UPI strike and then you needn't worry about checking each bidder's feedback. Once they get 2 strikes, you can block them automatically.

and of course colkym you do not provide any reason as to what difference it makes to you, as there is no reason why should even care about it.

I actually don't give too hoots about the non-payers - its that the system set up is in the favour of scamming buyers and non-payers, and does not protect sellers from this risk.  It needs improvement.

I do not think a return to the past and the ability to leave negatives is the way to go, but I do think that at a minimum unpaid strikes should show on a buyers feedback.

You can automatically block them if they have 2 or more within a year. eBay does the work for you.

thanks soul, I do have my blocks set and it has not resolved the problem I and many other sellers are having, or the unfairness of the way the system (and some other sellers) seeks to protect those who buy and do not pay.

IMO, it isn't a case of protecting non payers, it's the fact there are rules and it sure irks me, when some sellers think they are above the rules.

The excuse of leaving false positives, so other sellers can read the feedback, is just an excuse, not a reason. How do they cope when a buyer snipes.

As a buyer, I not only check the feedback left for the seller, I also check the feedback they leave for buyers. When I see a seller who thinks they can get around the rules, my trust in them goes out the window and I find a more trustworthy seller.

janeababe,

I don't blame you for being annoyed, I too would mark the DSR's down and probably leave neutral feedback.

Thats an interesting reason. You feel irked.

I will ponder on that.
