I suspect you've been polluted by the politicians in Canberra Dave, shame really because you are missing out on some very fine liquor from the far side of the Atlantic Ocean.

That is an ebay dispute.   You can open a PAYPAL dispute at any time and it is far better for a Not Received dispute than ebay.

To add to what the others have said, if a seller has low feedback with no history of selling, suddenly start selling expensive items in bulk, for a cheap price, it screams scam. They don't always have low feedback as sometimes they hijack someone else's account, but it still gives you something to work with.

If you're ever unsure if something is legit or not, come back here with either the name of the title word for word, or an item number so the experienced members can check for you.

Paid for lawnmower last week, was due to be shipped between 3rd and 9th of August so it may still arrive. But there was no acknowledgement of payment and no reply to e-mails and seller has since left Ebay.

---------------------------------------

To sum it all up.

It's a scam, we know it's a scam, you know it's a scam, ebay probably knows it is a scam and has closed that account or otherwise the seller has taken off.

Either way, you're not going to see any mower, I wish I was as sure of winning the lotto.

Put in a paypal claim & you'll get your money back, that part's straight forward.

Scammers are a blight on ebay or anywhere else for that matter!

But the seller may not have finished with you. He has your details, your email. Watch out & set your security, as go-tazz warned.

Maybe so, but a lot are scams and the member you replied to is one of the more knowledgable people on eBay scams. For "crzy good prices", you'd be getting mostly junk from China because eBay is not the bargain place it once was. This is how a lot of people make their living, so they aren't going to be selling for less than what they paid. Only crzy good prices you get are new sellers who don't know how things work and leave themselves wide open for following eBay suggestions of starting auctions at 99c, or cheap junk from China.

As you stated most of the items you buy cheap aren't scams but some are and this was one of those

cases where they were scam listings,(hopefully you haven't been scammed).shok.gif

The "seller/scammer" is: No longer a registered user  because they listed those scam items.

So can you please enlighten me as to what part of my reply was "an odd reply"? as I merely pointed out how

to check if an item seems to good to be true,(checking what they are truly worth will give you a good guide

on how much the are actually worth and whether it's likely to be a scam item).

The ones that were listed were worth over $300,(not the $90 that the scammer listed them for).

No legitimate seller is going to list items as BIN's for less than 33% of market value.
