Mail to and from UK

How is mail from and to UK in this moment?  I am still waiting for something from UK bought almost 5 weeks ago, and I have just posted Xmas card to UK - just woke up to the fact it is only 2 weeks to Xmas,  ouch.  So I wonder how slow mail is in this moment?

Not so much slow as erratic.

For most of this year the mail has been taking anything from 4-6 days to 3-4 weeks.  Last year it was coming through in 4-7 days regularly.

I would be starting to get a bit concerned about the 5 weeks...keep your eye on the 45 days for a dispute.

Somehow I don't think your card will arrive before Christmas unless Royal Mail is really on the ball.

Thanks Lyndal, I am  worried about that parcel from UK, the seller has absolutely immaculate FB, many thousands of sale, 100%, not even neutral.    Therefore i will wait bit longer before I do anything.  Although I guess I will have to let her know soon.  😞

Super, is there a tracking number for the parcel or just a proof of posting?

I think I would be contacting the seller now...give her a bit of time to try and track the parcel down.  You may not even have to open a dispute if the seller has immaculate feedback.  They do no get that by having disputes opened against them.

At this time of the year the seller may have quite a wait for Royal Mail to get back to her.

I do not think there is a tracking on it.   I will wait till Wednesday, cross my fingers.  I am not worried about not getting my money back, or replacement, I just feel bad, because if it is lost, I am sure it is not the seller's fault.  You are right, she should know, but i have had some sellers who refunded or resent the moment I told them item has not arrived, and of-course it did arrive the day after.
