I can't believe what has just happened!!! More on the Verification Code dilemma, the numbers actually read 143690, I got my other half here to help me "listen" as best as we could to the verification code, and we were both sure (after a few times of listening) it said 747359, so I typed in the number it had "said", and low and behold, it let me send it to the seller!!! What is going on here??? It's just crazy!!!

That is your privilege, but it can result in you judging the answer by the feedback of the poster rather than the intrinsic merits of the answer. Which can be non-optimal. Even us low FB pseudo-newbies can come up with the correct answer occasionally. There are members here with many thousands of feedback who ask newbie questions. Charitably, one assumes they have not encountered the particular issue in the past. And thus, will be receptive to answers from those who HAVE had that particular experience and can provide guidance from their, albeit apparently limited, experience.
ROFLMAO - you're talking about me there, aren't you? LOLOL
*blushes*
Hope that you noticed that a few times I did get somethin right and sometimes some other posters even agreed with me LOL - a few times now LOL

For the record, the verification codes when sending messages are glitchy as all....frog.
I replicate the code perfectly and I get the message telling me I was wrong around 80% of the time when I know darn well I wasn't. I can read, I don't need glasses, and I can tell the difference between 1 & 7. And if I couldn't, I must be really good at getting it right the second go because every single time that has happened, the next time I try the message goes through fine.

travis - you hit the nail on the head there, most of the posters selling accounts that post under private IDs are nothing to write to home bout anyway, lol.
:-D:-D:-D
Those that have private posting IDs on the buying and selling boards probably need them as I can't see them posting a number of the comments they do, about other posters, buyers or other sellers under their real IDs without some fallout due to their own provocative comments and disregard for difference in opinion or approach.
Would you say that about me? A private ID?

I get that a LOT, needing to do it a second time, but I've never got to it happening 10 times - I'd give up way before that!

Hey Dave for someone who thinks feedback doesn't matter you sure do judge people on it. Letting us know you have more on your other username. Why don't u really back up what u have to say and only use one username so we know who we are talking to.

I get the error message when I take too long to type my message/question. The code must 'time-out', because like D-G, as soon as I put the next code in it works. I have got into the habit of copying all of my text efroe trying the code as I have had to re-type my message/question on more than one ocassion.

My response was to Travis, who seems to think that low (or private presumably) feedback means that an answer is incorrect. My seller feedback is a touch above Travis's (in half the membership time, too, which I didn't mention), so I mentioned it to provide some credibility for my answer. Which didn't fit Travis's paradigm, so the low FB was just an excuse to ignore facts. Happens a lot here.
I don't judge people on their feedback unless they are sellers with many 1,000s of FB who ask newbie questions regularly (usually monthly and usually variants on the same question).
I only use one ID on these boards, this one, so you do know who you are talking to. If i used another one, you wouldn't know who I was. Except for my ascerbic style.
