My Experience with a bad seller

I would like to let everyone about my experience with one of the worst sellers that I have ever come across.  I purchased a steering wheel for $75 and Boss kit for $35 from this seller and when I received them the steering wheel had a yellow blotch of paint on it and the steering Boss did not fit on a Hyundai Excel as stated on the sellers ebay page.  I contacted the seller and I was accused of it being my fault because I didn't know what I was doing when I was trying to install it.  They told me to also send them a photo of the wheel which I did.
I Received messages from three different people in turn about the Boss Kit.  I then decided to send a photo to the third person showing a comparison between the blinker latching system of the factory wheel and that of the Boss kit they sent me which were completely different.  This person next incredibly told me to drill it so that I could make it fit.  I immediately requested a refund for both items which after making me jump through hoops they agreed to the refund but when I asked for them to pay for return postage they blatantly told me no return postage was my responsibility.  I then called paypal and was advised by the rep. to lodge a dispute about return postage for both items which I did.  This seller did not bother responding to the disputes and I won both cases.  I then called paypal about return postage and the rep. that I spoke to credited my account with $20 towards return postage which I was not expecting.
I next left negative feedback for the seller for the wheel because they gave me a difficult time before agreeing to refund it and for the Boss kit saying it doesn't work for later excels and that they told me to drill to make it fit.

The seller didn't like the feedback that I left so a fourth person emailed me to change my feedback.  Then they called ebay to complain and my feedback was removed.  At that point I had enough but I wanted to notify potential buyers so I called ebay to find out why my feedback was removed.  I explained that my feedback notified buyers about the item the seller is selling being misrepresented and to read my messages for confirmation where the seller told me to drill it.  I then lodged a complaint about the seller misleading buyers and pointed out to the messages that I received and sent. The Ebay rep. said she would look into it but when I last checked the seller is still selling this item  and still misleading buyers.

Is there any policing of fraudulent and dishonest sellers on well known host auction sites?  Think about it....who does **** make more money from?  The poor unsuspecting schmuck who shops online?  or the high volume often shady seller?

 

There is little to no comeback if you get ripped off, the **** 'reps' are not interested.  They will jump on you quick as a flash if you attempt to deal outside the structure though!!! 

 

As retail shrinks in the shadow of online shopping, there is less choice of where to buy; the online seller knows this, the host site knows this, the rip off that cannot really be controled or policed becomes more commonplace.

I didn't do anything like that.  There was nothing in my feedback other than it being negative and what I mentioned in my post to alert buyers of problems that I experienced.  I would go as far as saying that this buyer has had previous problems because they knew exactly what to do to remove my feedback.

You are 100% correct why would an online auction site want to damage a source of income.
