Soooo, I had too many things in my watch list.
Decided to make a new 'your lists' category.
Did a test run, so I could see it was simple, yeah?
Then laboriously spent 2 hours or so scouring and putting items
in my newly made list. Not once did I think to check it.
Fatal words here - I trusted ebay
The page for my newly created list is empty!! Not even a header.
Oh, the test page is there, all nice and lovely, complete with header.
If I go to one of the items I know I put in there, it tells me it is
saved in my 'special' list - BUT IT'S NOT!!!! (sorry for shouting)
At my wits end. I've tried everything and can't find them.
Please don't talk to me about cookies and cache
(I ate them ^ and spent it ^)
Where could they be? Do I have to do it all again and hope I find them all?
please
So, how's your Sattdy night going? All well in your world?
Solved! Go to Solution.

Why, if I delete items from one list (and one list only)
that they disappear from all of them?
Peeing me off. Can't get my lists sorted for fear of losing them again!
Ask me, ask me.....I can answer that one!!!
If you hit either the Remove button on the listing or the Remove this Item from the bar at the top where it tells you what list it is saved in then it is removed from everywhere.....just like when you delete things from your Watch/Wish lists in My Ebay.
What you need to do is remove the item from the list that it is on but do not refresh the page until you have put it onto another list using the drop down box. By removing a listing from your personal list it has the same effect as removing it from your Watch list....it is all gorn, never to be found again.

Wise words, Lyndal, but the horse has bolted. I will know next time. hopefully.
I deleted them because they were only supposed to be in my watch list, and yet
they ended up in one of my personal lists. How, I do not know!
But......I have tracked down nearly all auctions that I had in my watch list
and re-watched them.
Curiously, they all have the notes that I made before deletion ????
