Negative or neutral feedback?

Bought an item, said will be posted within 3 business days on the seller's profile. Waited 6 business days. Sent a couple of messages but didn't receive any response. Item was never sent.

Had to go through Ebay to get a refund, seller has refunded me.

Should I leave negative feedback? Or should I leave neutral feedback and describe my experience with this seller so that others are aware?

Thanks.

Negative or neutral feedback?

That’s up to you, but communication is a definite issue

Negative or neutral feedback?

I think if you mention in the feedback that you put in a claim and eBay refunded you, the feedback may be removed. I'm not talking from personal experience but I have seen in posts on here in the past that one of the grounds for having feedback removed is mentioning a dispute.

You could still say that the seller did not post the item though.

Negative or neutral feedback?

Was it a negative experience, or was it a "meh, whatever" experience? Only you know his you feel about the transaction.

Just be truthful and factual in your feedback comments, don't mention any disputes, and as your closing feedback statement, add words along the lines of "This was definitely not a positive buying experience.".

Negative or neutral feedback?

For me, that would be a definite negative.

Some transactions can be on the line a bit, but to me this one is clear cut.

You paid.

Seller never sent at all.

Seller never kept you informed or mentioned any problem, even after 6 business days.

Seller never refunded. You had to go through ebay to force a refund.

Had you not gone through ebay, you may never have received either the item or the refund.

It is worth leaving feedback for sure, to help other buyers who may look before they commit. Not all buyers do but quite a lot will.

Mentioning a dispute with ebay can be a no-no from what I have read, but you can always say bluntly that you paid promptly, item was never sent, no communication at all from seller. Avoid.
