New buyers to ebay!!!!

Its strange but when you tell people you shop on ebay they look horrified. Like you are an alien. Panic sets in and they say things like oh but if I shop on ebay I wont receive the item or they will steal my money. It is rather amusing in a way. And 9 out of 10 people say it.

I agree with chameleon - though I think maybe some people have been burnt before on eBay (and other online sites) - perhaps not receiving goods etc and not knowing the correct procedures/methods to stop this from happening.

My biggest OUCH is when I have people tell me they bought this and that on eBay and they haven't got it yet, I advise to go via paypal dispute, but "No, no, I have been buying for ages, it'll be right" SHUDDER

I get asked all the time if I can find such and such on ebay for family and friends. Once I find what they are wanting, they join and then

buy.  Most then continue to use ebay for more purchases. All have been happy so far.
