Hi, I bought an item on the 16th of November, quite expensive.. I paid straight away and the seller told me he'd ship it the next day and would have the tracking number for me later that evening. Two days ago I got a notification on Ebay saying the item was shipped. Except it has no tracking number? The shipping service said international tracked postage. I've emailed him twice now about it and still have not gotten a response. But the seller has time to put up a new sale?? His shop only has 1 item up so it's not like he could be that busy? Is it too soon to be worried? What should I do in the upcoming days if there's still no reponse? Thanks.

If it is an international transaction it is far too early to even think about being worried, let alone actually being worried.
Have you checked your messages....I have had sellers who send the tracking number in an email. It could also be in your paypal account....have you checked the transaction in there?

I've bought a lot of stuff from Canada where no tracking was provided....and nothing has gone missing.
Alternatively, I've bought stuff from England and Germany, Hong Kong and Japan where tracking was provided but it was impossible to track on Aust Post or even some of the international parcel tracking sites. The numbers just weren't recognised, even when my purchases arrived in Oz and ironically they were sent by registered mail and I had to sign for them.
I've come to the conclusion tracking is a lottery. E-DELCON from the US seems OK most of the time...but not ALL the time. Sometimes tracking works and sometimes you are left with the impression the seller made up the numbers.....but it turns out they didn't.

He hasn't provided me with a tracking number in paypal either. I just don't think it would have been too difficult to provide it don't you think? It did say international tracked postage after all.

It's too early to be worried, but make sure you open a case before 45 days from purchase date if it doesn't arrive. I would open a case on day 40 just to play it safe.
I have to ask though, did you check this sellers feedback and star ratings before you bought? The feedback percentage is atrocious and the star ratings are even worse. Always pays to check those things before buying anything. It can save you a lot of heartache. There may be a very valid reason why his stars are so bad.......because he's a bad seller.
Still, your item may well arrive. Time will tell.

It's a November transaction, I am sure it is now a 180 day window now, not 45 days.
