Hi all, I know this is not exactly a buyers question but i didn't know where to place this. I came onto eBay this morning and while i was searching for furniture i kept getting this scrolling add down the right side of my screen about singles. You have to pick an age group to see the singles.
What has eBay come too that they need to advertise that garbage. Its bad enough that we get bombarded with that stuff on other web sites but on EBay it's just ludicrous.
It would be different if eBay had an adult section and the adds showed up while viewing that section but to have the silly adds following me in the Antique section is not on....
Does anyone know how i go about complaining to EBay directly? i'm not sure where to address my concerns......
From a concerned Mummy....

You can contact ebay by going to the top right corner of the page....Customer Support.
Personally, I would not waste my time....ebay will not do anything about it.

ebay are not likely to do anything about it. eBay is an OVER 18s site, you must be 18 to register for eBay so no reason to not have such advertising. You see the same in every newspaper and local paper too, and newspapers dont have an age limit on readers or subscribers.

If you are getting those kinds of ads, you may have encountered an unsavoury site and ended up with Adware/Malware on your computer...
Do a virus/Malware scan and see what comes up, if nothing appears download Firefox or Chrome and get Adblock plus as an add on; that way you won't see any ads at all..
All my internet surfing is completely ad free. The best thing you can do for your PC is get rid of Internet Explorer

If it is an actual scrolling ad then I suspect you may have some malware, if it is the box on the right with with AdChoice under it then it is google that is selecting the sites to promote based on your browsing history, if you click on the AChoice link at the bottom or the small arrow top right of the box you can read how it (supposedly) works.
For a while now mine has arrived at an ad for Chrome which I already have or, on the UK site Vodaphone a site I have never logged into on this fairly new machine. If I was paying for AdChoice I would think seriously about cancelling lol.
Unfortunately external advertising is how ebay keep their fees down so they are unlikely to listen to anyone who doesn't like it.

They do say you can buy anything on Ebay 😐
Even if that is a third party referral.
