Obvious Shill bidder

my brother inlaw bid on a iPhone 5 and won it, after he realised the lady sold the exact same phone not long before. She sold it for $300 and it had the same description and everything, she managed to get good feedback from this unknown person then she re-listed the same phone ??? It sold for $200, she obviously gathered she'll take whatever she could this time around. Anyhow after my brother inlaw realised whats been going on he decided not to pay for it, she's done a dispute against him. I'm just wondering what do I do next as my brother inlaw does not trust this seller. Thanks in advanced and I hope it all makes sense. Please use the item ID to check if I've lost my mind. see both exact same items . 1st sold 271316065737
Sold to my brother inlaw 271316050654

Thanks I'm sure Blind Freddie could of told me it was cheap. I don't think you're quite getting it. This seller is obviously Shifty, selling the same phone on more than one occasion? Looks like he'll just have to cop a unpaid strike.

he may have sold the phone previously, but the first time, the sale might not have been finalized. The buyer may have changed their mind, might not have been able to afford it, returned it?

It appears by the feedback he left for the first buyer that they mutually agreed to cancel the sale.

we don't know.

Then as Lyn has found out, it looks like he has started and listed the same listing several times in one short period, leading me to believe he has made listing mistakes and didn't know he could edit etc,

Re: Obvious Shill bidder

I believe that your BIL was in the wrong to not pay for this item and hope that he does get an unpaid item strike. The time to ask questions and research a seller is before you commit to purchase and form a legally binding contract. Not after the fact.

Re: Obvious Shill bidder

I agree it was his fault he should of looked prior to buying. It still looks a bit suss to me as I've seen many shifty people on ebay before. Thanks for your comments anyway I take it on board.
