Odd bids?

An item I have bid on and am watching just made a sudden jump in price from $67.00 to $87.00. Bid history shoes a steady increase by $1.00 at a time then all of a sudden a $20.00 leap. Seems very odd to me. Anyone care to explain what happened to me? Item number is 271461633432.

It will be automatic bidding.

if two people place the same amount at different times, the earliest bidder gets priority, and the price will increase up to the point at which bidder two drops out, having had their maximum bid reached, if placed after, or if it is lower than the other bidder's maximum.

this is the bids list:

you can see all the bids on items by clicking on the number of bids link, then show automatic bids.

so you can see that og placed a max bid of 86$, then 4c placed a higher bid afterwards, which has raised the price by 20$...as automatic bidding occurred, to the max bid of og, then the usual increment of 1$ as the next, and current bid, at 87$, for 4c, who has bid higher.

that is why it jumped.
