I was hoping to find a replacement for my old toaster but if this is what they cost nowadays I might be reduced to using a toasting fork over a candle.

she eleph, did you buy your toaster from a shop? i ask this, coz I bought a Russell Hobbs Vacuum and it went bung one day. Rang them ( Russell Hobbs) and they gave me a brand new one, no questions asked. A brand new Cleaner in the box. It may pay you to ring them and see if it happens to you. They have a great reputation.  🙂 And no, I'm don't have any connection to the Co.

We haven't bought one yet. Ours is ancient and has started burning everything, so we are having a look round for a new one. Mr Elephant is adamant it's got to have a lift 'n' look function, but the ones we've looked at in the B&M shops are all creeping up towards $200 so I thought I'd just see what the going price was for similar on eBay. I needed a cup of tea, a Bex and a good lie down after seeing that Russell Hobbs.

LOL that looks nuts.

If you check though, that's not what was actually paid by the buyer/s. The last one was purchased for 45.47 GBP.

The seller has then obviously edited and increased the BIN price for whatever reason, maybe because it was temporarily out of stock & it's more convenient for them to change the BIN price than edit quantity or pull the listing early... only the seller knows.

I didn't check, but does he happen to sell pace-makers?  If he doesn't, he should... I'm sure he could do a booming trade in them to window-shoppers visiting his store.
