I paid for an item which the sellers states will be posted within 2 days of payment. 7 days later item shows still not posted. I send request for update to seller, no reply.
I cancel stating it will not arrive on time.
Cancellation declined, still no sign that it has been posted.
So after 10 days I do not have the item and it has not been posted!
What do I do now...
old and stupid

Very well could be ignorance, and most likely is
But also possible the seller is in hospital, dead or had some other emergency
However, in this case , given the terrible feedback the seller has, I would have hit the back button
10 negs in the past month alone
Open and follow through with the not received dispute when the system allows
And don't listen to any excuses the seller may contact you with after you do
They are not going to send you another one etc etc etc

If the expected date of delivery has passed, lodge an “item not received” claim
on 05-02-2025 12:14 PM
How do you know it has not been posted?
What was the estimated delivery date?
If the last estimated delivery date has passed, open and follow through with an item not received dispute
What is the item number?
Also, you cannot cancel, you can ask but the seller is under no obligation to do so

The details of my purchase show it has not been posted, I did contact the seller four days earlier asking for an update as to why it had not been posted and received no reply.
10 days later there is still no reply to that contact request.
item number is 375756740290
I usually get my purchases within 7 days, I understand there can be reasons for a delay
but there is no excuse for failing to respond to a query,
just ignorance in my old fashion humble opinion.

Well getting on here worked, it now longer shows not posted and I have an expected delivery date.
maybe just human error someone forgot to update when it was posted.
But that is no excuse for failing to reply to my two requests for an update as to why it still shows not posted yet.
black listed... never again

That would be a big coincidence that the seller just happened to read the member to member forum right when you posted
I would hope never again
Dodgy seller with feedback that poor and who ignores questions
I hope it does turn up
If not, make sure you open the dispute

"maybe just human error "
The shonky seller has 34 neutral and 26 negative for a combination of items not received, not responding to messages, drop shipping etc.
Please don't put this down to "human error".
As already advised do not leave it one minute later than neccessary to open "an item received" dispute with eBay.
And make sure you leave appropriate feedback.

Correction as too late to edit last post

Don't make excuses for them.
It wasn't human error or that anyone 'forgot', this is a really dreadful seller if you look at the feedback.
They make a habit of ignoring messages, cancelling orders, and making no effort to help out buyers in any way, shape or form. Quite the opposite.
Go back to your order details and see when the expected delivery date was.
If it goes past that date, I'd be opening an item not received claim with ebay. Don't contact the seller, just open it.
And I'd be giving negative feedback, even if the item eventualy arrives.
