Moved from other Postage problem thread!
I purchased a chicken coop, won the auction for $118 + $60 postage (post code 4000 to 4200) and to contact them if outside this area (4615)
I sent a message about postage before I bid, but did not get a reply before the auction was ending so bid on it anyway.
I was expecting maybe $80 to $100 to get it delivered!
My Invoice said $118 +$60 +$800.
I have tried to contact the seller about this being an error...
Any help with this would be appreciated!!

The OP is at Nanango 4615, which, correct me if I am wrong, is 200km in the bush (from Brisbane). The courier may have to do a trip solely for the purpose of delivering the chicken coup. My guess is that couriers just do not do that area. Just from interest; how much would you think would be fair for some 6 hours trip plus petrol?
By the way, it sounds that the seller is a business and they usually work Monday - Friday business hours, so expecting answer on weekend is not realistic. 🙂

Suggest to the seller to use Temando for frieght outside the courier service area.
I put in the figures on that listing estimated 50kg and ticked residential to residential and Temando can ship it via Allied Express for $127.87 or Hunter Express $277.80. Startrack next flight $710.45 if you are in a hurry.
www.temando.com it is very easy to sign up and useful for one offs.

I was thinking you should have purchased the PREMIUM CHICKEN COOP WOODEN SUITABLE FOR RABBIT FERRET PET HEN CHOOK BUNNY
His postage calculator for 4615 works out to $56.32, but buying price is $71 more. Still, much better than $860 postage.

Well, I've had no reply from my query about courier fees for a chicken coop to Gladstone yet . .. Perhaps being a Monday they are more busy than usual?
Any word your end missmuffit?

I have some good news... Finally got a reply from the seller.
$90 postage.
No explanation for why the invoice said $860 for postage and not the $90 he has changed it too...

I would not be worrying about explanations...there was obviously a glitch somewhere.
Just pay and get your chicken coop.
