I just got a payment notification from PayPal - the usual thing.
You sent a payment of $14.88 AUD to seller id. It included an item number.
I have NOT BOUGHT THAT ITEM. Is this a spoof email? OR has someone hacked my PayPal? I checked and the payment is not on my Paypal account yet.
It came from services@inc-paypal.com.au. Is that a valid paypal email?

Yes, that is why it would be good thread for the Buyers board.. paypal users -.active buyers, often new ones read/post there.

Buyers reading the Buyers board would benefit from this information.
am*3, does that mean that if you became aware of a scam you would alert only special select people?
By the way i know that you appreciate your spelling mistakes pointed out 🙂

It's was my view.. this issue better posted on the trading boards. I never asked anyone to agree with that.
Yes, pointing out my spelling mistakes is fine by me. Might be fairly time consuming though if I post a lot from my mini ipad.

That is a good suggestion - BUT - why limit it to the buyers board - why not the sellers board too - and why not CS too?
My assumption, right or wrong, is that buyers and sellers, as well as potential buyers and sellers, as well as mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, cousins and friends of CS readers may be warned by you, the CS user.
I promise I will never do it again - I am off to slash my wrists right now.

haven't tried again yet. I'll wait until I hear from Paypal.

just changed password now - It still asks you to verify who you are by entering either CreditCard or Bank Account. I suppose that's fair enough, but if you are already in the account - ie someone else used your login and password they can do anything they want without changing the password.
