A dispute with paypal was opened as item was not received. Seller said she would not refund nor resend the item until the dispute as closed. I closed the paypal dispute - and the item has still not been received, nor has the money been refunded. I tried to reopen the paypal dispute, but paypal states the dispute was closed.
What can I do apart from leaving negative feedback, which she threatens to leave me if I leave negative feedback for her.
Thanks for your advise.

Too trusting hey, fell for her mother was sick and she couldn't send the item story.
Is there anything I can do to protect others from caught out with this seller?

No. Apart from leaving a neg.
Wear your proof that experience doesn't equal wisdom badge with dishonour.
I mean, really. Surely you know the rules. Open dispute, get refund, no need to close dispute. Paypal will do it.
Mind you, the more buyers who don't use their protection the less likely Paypal will be to up their seller fees.

you are quite right tara, it has been over 5 years since a Seller could leave a neg for a bidder..... the OP should know that too!

You have already left appropriate negative feedback.
IF you funded the Paypal payment with your credit card, you could try asking your bank re a chargeback.

Have you actually called Paypal and explained what happened? If you have an email from them saying they will refund if you close the dispute Paypal may be persuaded to re-open the case which they can do at their discretion
