I am very upset right now. I purchased something today and wanted to pay Paypal, there is plenty of money in my Paypal account and the log in does not work. I recently changed my email address on there but everything should be ok. I have phoned them 3 times today and they phoned me twice tonight as I cannot get into the my account and get some stupid message. I have told them that they have stolen my money. They wanted to close the account and reopen another one but that is going to take 3 days to do they. I have put a complaint in with them and they are saying 3 to 4 weeks to fix this. I cannot understand how they can get away with stealing my money. I will now have to make other arrangements to pay the seller for the item. They have us over a barrel I think.

my paypal account was just hacked this afternoon. luckily they didn't get very much. I am super super careful, never click on any links in emails, do malware scans on a regular basis and don't even log in using my keyboard so I'm buggered how they got in.

Hi,
I am also having problems paying fore an item on Ebay this evening- I can log into my PayPal account directly and all is correct- however can not do so by goimg via Ebay checkout
I suspect there may be a fault with the Ebay check out and not PayPal per se?

Something else I have noticed is that when you pay for your items using the PayPal method through ebay , if you then go to your PayPal account using a new tab you are actually still signed in to your PayPal account .
This could be an issue if your not using your own PC , I do think it signs you out after a short inactive time but for at least 2 years I have been going directly to my PP account in a new tab and signing out from there as well.
