Posting with Private Feedback

So many people complain, or call people "trolls" if their feedback is set to private.

They assume, you have no idea what you're talking about, therefore, shouldn't have to the right to voice an opinion.

Why don't eBay just remember everyone's number from showing on the boards? Just have our usernames and "show listings" viewable.

Doesn’t expecting the unexpected make the unexpected expected?

I wanted to post a different one with two porcupines having a special kind of hug iykwim - there was a first aid kit beside them and bandaids all over one of them....

but I thought I better not because the feedback from the mods may not have been so private

Just posting on these boards with your selling ID, if you manage to upset someone, jeopardises your listings- if you upset a troll, they may go through your listings with a fine toothed comb and report them.  Since nearly all listings that are removed are the result of someone reporting them, its highly likely if you post with your selling ID that you will at least have your listings pulled at one stage, let alone have idiots bidding to mess with your auctions.

I actually had a listing removed after I posted in a controversial subject, because it contained the words "blue suede"  a few years back now, and I still cannot work out why?  I guess someone didnt like my comments, but cannot see that as a valid reason.  Even protesting to ebay several tines did no good! Which is why I now post with my buying ID, which is set to private.

I notice the only ones who have a problem with private ID's are usually OP's whos arguments have run out of steam and they are trying to turn the argument back on you!

Even with so many comments and explanations as to why it's actually a good idea to post with a private ID, it seems it's made little difference to some people still attacking those who do.

But most of us Private FB'ers don't really put much store in what the 'uninformed' eBay posters think so all is well.

It's just a bonus knowing it is annoying to those who clearly have nothing better to concern themselves with. ]:)
