Potential Scam

Appparently I sold 4 items yesterday.

I dont think I've ever sold that much on the one day.

Also it was for the exact same item.

i did not receive a notification email in my EBay Message account as i usually do.

Im thinking that perhaps I've been scammed

Any advice will be greatly appreciated

Well, I typed out a long response but it was eaten due to an 'error'

Your completed listings show you sold 5 of the same item yesterday?

I don't know (like I say, unfortunately my lengthy response got eaten)

I suppose all you can do (assuming the buyer pays) is go with your gut, look out for any red flags and if they don't pay, report them an block them

Sounds like a possible glitch?

What does your seller dashboard say?

Does it show the items and say that they are good to be posted?

We've never received notification of a sale in our eBay messages, only in our linked email.

On eBay, the sale shows in our "orders" or "sold" section (or whatever it's been called in the different versions since we started selling) but we don't receive a separate message through eBay messages.

Maybe something in settings?

If the sales are in your orders, and show as paid in eBay, then it sounds legit.

If it is not the same buyer, it could be that someone just shared your listing somewhere on social media and other people were interested. The listing does indicate that the RRP is much higher, so maybe they wanted to grab a deal. It is also almost Christmas, and people are buying more than usual I think.

Now that I think about it, I don't get sale messages in my Ebay mailbox, only to my email address.

I just double checked my Ebay inbox and there are no sale messages.

But its strange that no email came though in my ebay message.  All i received was the message on my personal email informing me that my product sold and to print up a postage label and nothing else ?
