Praise for Ebay Seller

I purchased two items from top-deal-square and on arrival I found one to be broken, I advised the seller, top-deal-square, and sent a photo. The response was to advise me that a replacement item would be sent as soon as stock became available. This was done and not only was a replacement item sent but and additional item. I have nothing but the highest praise for this Ebay seller for honesty, concern, excellent communication & and the highest integrity.  I highly recommend this Ebay seller.

Nice to see a feelgood story, also good that you have shown that sellers can and do do the right thing, there are many of us who will either send a replacement or refund on sight of a photo, idf all sellers behaved like that instead of coming here asking how they can get out of refunding a buyer because they MUST be making a fraudulnat claim ebay would be a better place.

Before I get jumped on I am not saying every claim is valid but when the evidence points that way my opinion is that the buyer should always be given the benefit of the doubt.

Nice to see a responsible and patient buyer with foresight to exercise due course rather than jump the gun, by getting immediately defensive, assuming the worst and portraying that on the genuinely surprised buyer. I take my hat off to you.

And I hear ya Phorum, we even go so far as to take everyone at face value and not worry about a photo unless its the most suspicious of circumstances. We honor every mistake, defective , lost item or perceived wrong. Still some people dont want to accept sellers are human and would believe we make mistakes intentionally which of course would be counter productive. If only we had more buyers like HKWoods33 🙂

If members arne't allowed to name and shame, how about it being both ways and stop the evident back slapping of sellers also, afterall, how do us memebers know that it is not just someone praising up a seller and using the forums as a free advertising opportunity. Enough said by me, and I guess I will be bagged for saying it, but the forums are being used the wrong way. Let the feedback system do the job, and we can usually take that as being fairly true to form.

I would say the boards are being used in exactly the right way.

Without the occasional feel good story members could be forgiven for believing all sellers are shonks and shysters.

I bet your post would not be here if the buyer was praising you....are you just the teensiest bit jealous?

Not at all Lyndal, my feedback demonstrates my honesty as a seller and buyer, just dont see the need for free advertising on any forums. I'm only a private seller these days due to forced medical retirement, so no jealousy at all from my way.

I read a lot of hard luck stories of the feedback system not doing the job, but thats always a matter of perspective.

As for HKWoods33 being a mole, hadn't considered that angle, also entirely possible like you said. But I think ill settle for happy ending scenario today 🙂

I have to agree.

No offense to the OP and I'm sure it's true but I have no idea how independent this is and I think a lot of businesses pay people to give glowing reviews for their products.

If it isn't against ebay rules I could give out 50% off coupons for a nice post about my store on the forums, not that I want it.

Sorry to be a downer about it and it is good that your happy with your purchase and the seller, the vast majority of sellers are honest and reliable.

Bought an item from chevypitstop back in November. Open up the box fineally this past weekend to find it broken. I contacted chevypitstop hoping to buy a replacemen partt and they sent me the part no charge. What an awesome act of kindness.
