Now I'll sit back and wait for Horizon to emerge!!! Can't wait to hear the reply!
Horizon is online & hasn't taken the rainbow rose bait.Fascinating.
I don't know why anyone would bother trying to grow a rose from seed.Even if it wasn't a fake it still wouldn't be true to the original rose if it ever grew at all.& those monkey face flowers listings pics look ao incredibly fake, bet they make for nice cabbages though.

Strangely enough I did see some of the Rainbow roses a few months ago.Interesting to hear how they are done,I always assumed they were photo shopped but these ones were $65 a bunch in a florist at Bankstown NSW.They were exactly like the photos ...I wondered how the heck it was done

According to one Hong Kong seller, who actually tells the truth in their description, it's a certain variety of rose that achieves best results for colour absorption. Apparently you can do it with most white or light cream roses, but this particular variety works the best.
That said, growing roses from seed isn't easy. Given that most roses you buy these days are grafted onto rootstock, who knows what you're getting as far as seeds go. I think if you want rainbow roses, it would be far cheaper and less time consuming to plant a white rose and when it flowers, follow my instructions above to achieve colour.
We used to make blue ones on night shift years ago, for the baby boys, when I worked in a maternity hospital.

They are a real Orchid,(the scammers just wouldn't have those seeds).
There was a forum where some of the gardening people bought the different seeds just to see what actually
grew.
With most it seemed to be the standard variety of the fake items,eg: Red Watermelon instead of Blue or Yellow
But some received what they could only gather as being weed seeds and didn't plant them,(which could impact
on eco systems).
Because they take so long to receive, plant and then see results the scammers don't receive defects as it would
be well past the 60 day feedback period,(that's why eBay would be reluctant to extend that period as it would
allow buyers to defect their protected sellers),
Not a single one of these scammers that sell the fake seeds has ever been sanctioned,(I used to report them on
a weekly basis but in the end just gave up as eBay are just as guilty as these sellers so they protect them),
