Random Relisted Items from eBay

In the last couple of weeks I've received some relisted messages for items I've never bought or put on a watch list.  The latest being:

A car (?) part from Germany with the subject description in German.  I've received that message at least twice.

Another was for a dress from China, but once again the subject description was in German adn cost in Euros.

I've never bought from these sellers, and I am not interested in car parts or dresses so I have no searches set up for them. 

I do have searches set up for items I am interested in and if I go into set preferences and make changes it will probably affect the searches and reminders that I want to keep.

Anyone else getting these seemingly random messages?

Yep zanadoo, I think a lot of us get them I can only think that maybe some of mine come from items I've looked at when members have asked questions here. It's a bit of a P1TA but that's the delights of eBay for ya.

I've received 2 phone calls one from Hong Kong and the other from Canada lol seriously how the hell did they get my phone number?thanks ebay!

Ebay seem to be using tracking cookies for sites visited other than ebay. I have a teenage daughter who spends a lot of time online looking at clothes and teenage fashion. Some of the stuff that comes through my ebay feed makes an old fella blush............

Good thing you're not an old fella. 

For anyone wanting less junk etc. select the account tab then communication prefs and scroll to promos at the bottom.

Untick all the boxes and save.

Yep.

They didn't mention any promos - they are just stuff that presumably didn't sell and so were relisted.
