Ebay promised refund on my purchase on on 11/30/2016 but till date, I have not been refuned by Ebay for my purhcase. I have contacted many times including calls & emails and evertime they advised it will be addressed within 2-5 business days. Now it is more than 4 months.
I lost faith in Ebay and would like to advise other think twice when using Ebay specially when not paying by Paypal or using any Voucher.
I actually wanted to upload snapshot of every response Ebay has been giving me but I can't upload more than 1 file.

If you have been promised a credit in your paypal account because of the failure of a voucher during a transaction, I can confirm that it can take up to 4 months to happen. That is how long it took for me to finally get a similar credit.
Just keep replying to the emails every week or so.....keep it pleasant but be persistent and you will eventually get it. I think the threat of involving the ombudsman was probably not a good move.

You say when NOT paying with Paypal or a voucher, does that mean you paid by bank deposit or cash on pick up? If so are you sure ebay promissed you a refund or did they say they would try and get the seller to refund.
Ebay are not obliged to refund, or assist in getting a refund, for any item not paid for with a safe payment method which for Australia means Paypal or a credit card.

Good pickup PJ. I did not take that into account as I based my answer on the messages from ebay....there was no mention of the OP not being elligible for the refund due to payment method.
I wonder if we will ever know.

@pj
if the OP is seeking a refund of an amount they paid equal to a voucher that was on offer then payment by any method other than PayPal will nullify any chance of ever getting the credit as those vouchers require payment by PayPal and that the eBay and PayPal account use the same email address.

It was a Groupon voucher Sir.....it was the subject of one of the messages in the OP.
I have used them and they are exactly the same as the vouchers issued by ebay. The messages make no mention of the OP not being elligible for the credit amount o he must have paid by paypal and the voucher did not apply correctly.

@lyndal
I went back and looked at the OP's posts and the images attached to the posts. I couldn't see anywhere where the OP has been told they are eligible for the voucher credit, only that the request has been forwarded to the promotions team.
The one telling piece of information is the one referred to by pj:
I lost faith in Ebay and would like to advise other think twice when using Ebay specially when not paying by Paypal or using any Voucher
We need the OP to come back and say that they paid by PayPal to be sure.
