Reporting counterfeit listings

Good evening!

I recently purchased an item from a seller and it was counterfeit. I had it authenticated online by "my poupette"

I did a little research and I found some interesting things.

Could someone please have a look at these listings for me? They are not selling these items cheap.

Sunglasses:
181970332796

171995558758

171995198568
171987349321
171932759414

Men's dress belt
172039248397
171960856711

Men's belt
172028345845
172020670710

This seller is also linked to another selling account:

Item number: 172020694181 same as item number: 161902156908, same seller location.

Both eBay accounts are selling all different counterfeit items. Bag charms, sunglasses, key cases.

I have reported this to eBay (all the listings with reasons as well as both selling accounts) and ACORN but they are still selling. Is there any more I can do? I am not really worried about my purchase but people are getting ripped off hundreds of dollars.

Cheers,

Jake.

181945827340 is another pair on sunglases sold.

The seller has left feedback for the buyers so I assume the buyer paid for the item it's not just re-listed due to a non-paying buyer.

Good on you for taking the time to report.

Unfortunately it is difficult for eBay to police and enforce online selling of fake items without having the item in hand.

They rely on reporting and should there be many reports, sanctions will probably happen.

It's buyer beware and lets hope buyers have become educated about looking carefully at feedback.

To add some of these sellers get friends with accounts to buy n leave feedback for each other to boost feedback appearing to be a genuine seller. Tell tale sign is the same wording in feedback to each other.

Looking at some of the listings it is also possible some are genuine.

Thankyou for taking the time to look.

I agree perhaps there is a chance something is genuine however I very much doubt it. How many pairs of the exact same pre-owned sunglasses can someone own? If you do a search on that particular style of sunglasses you will see what the real ones look like. The colour of the sunglasses case is different, the writing on the sunglasses is different. I do understand difference according to cameras, lighting etc, it's still not right. Also the words inside the case are not crisp and perfectly clear. This particular company are meticulous with their quality control. The dust bag I received had the words smudged. The clip didn't align properly and there were a whole heap of other tell tale signs.

The photos for their listings are stratigically taken as to not show anything of importance.

When I contacted the seller the said they would accept returns however they would not refund me if I returned a "non genuine" item (hence using the authentication service) I was then accused of switching the item. This is why I ended up contacting ACORN.

Here is another example of a counterfeit item sold buy this seller.

Item number: 172006552405. These charms don't have that type of clip that attached to your bag. The clip used on this charm is for the chain types. Also if you have a look at the actual charms the flower symbol isn't even close to what it should look like.

I contacted the seller about this listing and she said I would get a copy of the invoice IF I win. She said people steal invoice numbers so she wouldn't show me. I asked why the flower symbol was the wrong shape and she ignored me.

The invoices I have seen in their other listings are fake. I asked about them at the store in Sydney.

Anyways hopefully something can be done to warn others.  Thanks again for your time.

Cheers,

Jake.

If your purchase is definitely a fake and the seller won't assist to your satisfaction the only other thing to do is leaving negative feedback with something like "My item verified as fake, seller won't help and keeps selling".
