combining postage - I'm the buyer not the seller

Hi, I'm buying a few things from the same seller, and they have agreed to combined postage for me. What happens now? Do I not pay for everything individually and wait for the seller to give me a total? I've already paid for a few things then realized I'm probably  paying postage with each transaction.

hope this makes sense!!

The seller needs to send a combined invoice but won't be able to do so for the items already paid.

Keep in mind combined postage means items combined into one parcel and sent together the same day.

Not necessarily discounted postage as it may take the parcel into a new weight n size category.

But if the seller has agreed the postage costs will be discounted then they need to send an invoice and can adjust the postage cost for the remaining unpaid items.

Just wait until the seller sends you a combined invoice. Then make payment. If they are a decent seller they will take into consideration the postage you have already paid on those items and will discount it off the ones you haven't.

To qualify for seller protection the seller should really refund the payments you have already made and reinvoice you with the combined postage amount.  As you have already paid for some items individually even if they do this they are going to pay more in Paypal fees which I certainly take into account when working out a combined discount.  They will also be paying more in ebay fees if they do not refund and re invoice.

The seller may be willing to take the risk of just creating an invoice for the remaining items and then sending them all together but what they should really do is treat each payment as a different transaction and send individual parcels.

Many sellers do not make things clear, I say in my listings that combined discounts are only available on items paid on a single invoice and that any items paid for separately will be treated as individual transactions. I still get the ocassional buyer who does not read that and makes an individual payment, I just tell them tough luck, too late, I have already processed the items.
