Do I return a faulty phone to a seller that won't answer my questions, for a full refund or ask ebay to step in ??

If youโ€™ve opened a return /refund claim, and the seller has provided return postage label, you must return the item.

If youโ€™ve opened the claim and the seller hadnโ€™t provided the label, and itโ€™s been more than 3 business days without a resolution, you can (and should) ask eBay to step in.

Donโ€™t let the dispute time out. Once closed, whether voluntarily by you or as a result of no required action taken by you within the timeframe, it canโ€™t be reopened.

Whatโ€™s the item number? (Not order number, just the item number.)

If you received an item not as described, you have 30 days to open an item not as described dispute through eBay's Money Back Guarantee

https://www.ebay.com.au/help/policies/ebay-money-back-guarantee-policy/ebay-money-back-guarantee-pol...

The seller will need to provide you with a return label with tracking.

If the seller hasn't responded within 3 business days, you can ask eBay to step in

Open a dispute under the MBG, and don't close it until you are completely satisfied with the outcome.

Do not buy phones on eBay >>>> lodge an โ€˜item not as describedโ€™ claim, now!

Whatever you do, do NOT go off independently and post the phone back to the seller.

If you do that, you're just as likely to lose your money plus the phone.

You need to do exactly what others here have advised.

Open an ebay claim for a faulty item.

The seller can ignore you in private messages but if he ignores ebay, he will lose the case.

He should provide you with a postage label if he wants the phone back.

Keep an eye on the claim and ask ebay to step in if he does nothing.
